About the Artist
Maddy has enjoyed drawing since she was a small child. In 2011, she started doing free portraits of her friend's birds and realized that art was something she really wanted to do. So she went out and bought herself a set of paints and canvases, and worked hard to become better at what she loved.

Now she offers portraits of parrots and dogs. She likes to paint on anything and everything, with feathers and slate being her favorite to work on. Maddy specializes in painting parrots, but she enjoys paintings dogs and other furry animals as well. If there is an animal she hasn't painted, she would be more than happy to give it a try!

Maddy lives at home with her parents and sister, along with her companion animals which include 7 parrots, an English Cocker Spaniel, and a cat. She says that her animals help inspire her daily, and she wouldn't be where she is today without them.
About Weasley
Weasley, a blue budgie, came into Maddy's life in July 2010. She was Maddy's first companion parrot, and she had a very big impact on her life. Not only did she introduce Maddy to the wonderful world of parrots, but she also inspired her to do many things and helped teach her valuable life lessons.

Weasley loved nothing more than playing in Maddy's hair, snacking on millet, and snuggling with her 'husbird' Jacob.
​
Weasley passed away in April 2013, taking a huge piece of Maddy's heart with her. Although her time on earth was short, her legacy is big. She was loved very much.
